Commercial Counsel
Counsel – High-Growth AI / Deep Tech (Bay Area, or Remote)
A high-growth, AI-led technology company is looking to hire a Counsel to support its next phase of global expansion.
This is an opportunity to join a technically sophisticated, product-led business working with large enterprise customers, where legal plays a key role in enabling commercial growth and innovation.
You will operate as a true generalist, supporting across:
- Commercial contracting (enterprise SaaS agreements, MSAs, DPAs)
- Data privacy and emerging AI regulation
- IP strategy and technology licensing
- Employment and broader corporate matters
- Legal ops and building scalable processes
This is a broad, high-impact position within a lean legal function, offering significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape how legal supports the business as it scales internationally.
Candidate profile:
- 5-8+ years’ experience with a combination of private practice and in-house exposure
- Strong commercial contracting background within SaaS or technology
- Working knowledge of GDPR (and ideally CCPA), with an interest in AI regulation
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Motivated by building processes and working closely with product and commercial teams
