The Role

As part of a highly skilled legal team, you will work closely with the General Counsel and collaborate with colleagues across Europe. You will act as a trusted advisor to the business on a broad range of commercial, regulatory, and operational matters, supporting major industrial activities and strategic projects.

This position is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys navigating sophisticated legal challenges, partnering with senior stakeholders, and contributing to large‑scale industrial and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial, procurement, capex, energy, and long‑term industrial contracts.
  • Advise on real‑estate matters relating to industrial land, production facilities, and infrastructure.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory, environmental, energy‑related, and operational legal risks.
  • Support cross‑border projects, partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic transactions across several European jurisdictions.
  • Manage and coordinate external counsel, ensuring quality and cost control.
  • Oversee litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings within your remit.
  • Contribute to legal training, template development, playbooks, and digitalisation initiatives.
  • Promote strong governance, legal risk management, and adherence to group policies.

Your Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial law, ideally with exposure to sales, procurement, and industrial contracting.
  • Background in an international law firm or a global industrial/technology‑driven organisation.
  • Experience coordinating complex, multi‑jurisdictional projects or transactions.
  • Interest or experience in adjacent areas such as corporate, insolvency, real estate, or regulatory law.
  • Full German legal qualification (two state exams), with at least one passed with distinction.
  • Fluent in English and German; strong drafting skills in both English and German.
  • A proactive, hands‑on mindset with the ability to analyse and solve complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, international environment.
  • High integrity, collaborative spirit, and a forward‑looking, change‑positive attitude.

What’s on Offer

  • A stimulating role within a global industrial leader undergoing significant innovation and transformation.
  • Exposure to cutting‑edge projects in areas such as energy transition, sustainability, and advanced industrial operations.
  • A respected legal function that acts as a true business partner.
  • A culture that values personal development, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
  • The opportunity to work with highly skilled colleagues across Europe.
