Senior Counsel (Construction / EPC) – Americas


About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Counsel to join a high-performing, collaborative legal team supporting a growing portfolio of engineering, design, construction, and EPC projects across the Americas.

In this role, you will partner closely with executive and operational leadership, providing strategic legal guidance on complex, high-impact matters. This is an opportunity to act as a trusted advisor, influencing key business decisions while supporting sophisticated project delivery environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including:
    • EPC, construction, engineering, and design contracts
    • Subcontractor, vendor, and labor agreements
    • Jobsite policies and EHS procedures
  • Provide proactive legal counsel to business leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Manage commercial disputes, including claims, mediation, arbitration, and litigation
  • Advise on labor & employment matters and related disputes
  • Support corporate governance, compliance, and risk management initiatives
  • Partner with HR, Compliance, and leadership to interpret and enforce policies
  • Handle regulatory matters (e.g., OSHA, EEOC, DOL, NLRB, FLSA, WARN)
  • Contribute to enterprise risk management and compliance programs
  • Support M&A, financing transactions, and strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate on IP, software, and IT-related legal matters

Qualifications

Required:

  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Licensed and in good standing in Texas (or another approved U.S. state)
  • 8+ years of legal experience
  • Strong background supporting large construction or EPC projects
  • Proven expertise drafting and negotiating complex agreements

Preferred:

  • Combination of law firm and in-house experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Business-minded, pragmatic approach to legal problem solving
