A well‑established London firm is seeking a Senior Associate (6+ PQE) to join its thriving Private Client team. The Role
You will take on a senior, client‑facing role within a growing and respected Private Client practice. The caseload is broad, high‑quality and varied, with the opportunity to work on complex matters for long‑standing clients and new referrals. Responsibilities include:
- Managing a diverse caseload across wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, inheritance tax planning, lifetime planning and LPAs.
- Advising on complex estates, high‑value matters, cross‑border elements and bespoke succession planning structures.
- Acting as a trusted adviser to HNW and UHNW individuals, family business owners, and multi‑generational families.
- Preparing tailored wills, trust deeds, tax‑efficient structures and estate planning strategies.
- Leading on complex probate matters and advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries.
- Overseeing more junior fee‑earners, supporting their development and ensuring high‑quality client service.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across other practice areas to support clients holistically.
- Contributing to business development, including networking, community engagement and growing internal and external referrer relationships.
- Helping shape the continued development of the team during a period of strategic growth.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring:
- At least 6 years’ PQE in Private Client law, with strong technical grounding.
- Experience advising on complex and high‑value estates, trusts and succession planning.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and sensitively.
- Strong client‑handling skills with experience managing HNW relationships.
- A collaborative, approachable working style aligned with a supportive team culture.
- Ability to mentor and supervise more junior team members.
- A commercial outlook, enthusiasm for developing client relationships and interest in building the team’s profile.
- STEP qualification (or willingness to undertake) is advantageous.
