Our client, a Top 20 City law firm has an exceptional opportunity for a Real Estate Finance Associate to join ASAP on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a strong opportunity to step into a busy, high‑profile practice delivering complex lender‑side work at the top end of the market.
The team advises on UK and pan‑European transactions and regularly competes with Magic Circle, Silver Circle and leading US firms, winning work on quality, expertise and depth of platform.
The practice
- Lender‑side real estate finance and infrastructure finance
- Acting for clearing banks, credit funds, debt financiers and equity investors
- High‑value, complex structured debt transactions, including intercreditor‑heavy deals
- Joined‑up support across construction, projects, energy, planning, restructuring, tax and real estate
- Strong deal flow with an active and growing client base
There is a clear focus on future‑facing and resilient asset classes, offering meaningful exposure to growth areas that remain busy despite wider market cycles.
Sector exposure
- Structured real estate finance and corporate lending
- Transport and asset‑backed infrastructure
- Decarbonisation and renewables including battery storage and EV platforms
- Digital infrastructure, including data centres
The role
- Supporting senior lawyers on real estate finance and infrastructure finance transactions
- Drafting and negotiating loan agreements, security and ancillary documentation
- Managing CPs, deal timetables and closings
- Working closely with clients, counterparties and internal specialist teams
About you
- You are a qualified Solicitor withe ideally upwards of 3+ PQE, with solid experience in real estate finance
- Comfortable with lender‑side, structured transactions
- Strong drafting skills and commercial judgement
- Able to manage multiple workstreams
- Available (or available at very short notice) for a 6‑month FTC
