Legal Counsel
Legal Counsel | 4-7 PQE | London
Our client is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join its high-performing in-house legal team.
This is a broad commercial role offering exposure to complex customer contracts, strategic projects and wider business-facing legal work within a fast-growing, infrastructure-led organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders, support key revenue-generating transactions and help mentor more junior members of the legal team.
Key responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial customer and supplier agreements.
- Supporting strategic transactions and business-critical projects.
- Advising stakeholders across commercial, business development and finance functions.
- Providing pragmatic, risk-based legal advice to support business objectives.
- Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers within the team.
- Contributing to legal process improvement and adoption of legal technology.
Candidate profile:
- UK qualified lawyer, ideally around 4-7 PQE, although candidates outside this range will be considered.
- Strong commercial contracts experience gained in-house or in private practice.
- Telecoms experience is not required.
- Comfortable managing matters independently and building trusted relationships with stakeholders.
- Commercial, pragmatic and collaborative approach.
Additional information:
- London-based role.
- Typically 3 days per week in the office.
- Open to candidates seeking a 4-day week, including more senior lawyers returning from career breaks. Based on recruiter briefing notes.
- Salary broadly in the £105,000-£120,000 range, depending on experience. Based on recruiter briefing notes.
