Legal Counsel

Our client is a market-leading financial services company that has completed dozens of acquisitions in recent years and continues to execute a highly active growth strategy.

They’re seeking an attorney with experience in M&A, corporate transactions, investment adviser regulation, or other regulated financial services matters who is interested in moving closer to the business and taking on a broad in-house role.

The position involves supporting strategic transactions, advising on regulatory and compliance considerations, and partnering with business leaders to help navigate legal issues in a fast-growing and evolving environment.

The ideal candidate brings sound legal judgment, is comfortable identifying and navigating regulatory issues, and enjoys partnering with the business to develop practical solutions in support of growth initiatives.

This is a highly visible position with regular interaction with senior leadership and the opportunity to operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy in a trusted advisor capacity.

This position can sit anywhere in the US, with the team focused more on responsiveness, judgement, and ownership rather than geographic proximity to HQ.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience but they will look at those coming straight from law firms or entirely in-house.
