Join a leading international law firm seeking a Conflicts Advisor to join their Risk & Compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced conflicts professional to step into a senior advisory role.
Act as a trusted advisor to the Risk & Compliance team and wider firm on all conflict-related queries, applying expert knowledge of relevant regulations and policies. You will work closely with the Conflicts Manager to deliver best-in-class processes, while supervising, training, and mentoring junior team members. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to firm-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a senior role model and key escalation point for Junior Conflicts Analysts, providing hands-on training, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to support both technical capability and professional development.
- Partner closely with the Conflicts Manager to ensure the consistent application and ongoing improvement of conflicts policies, processes, and systems, including oversight of timely and accurate conflict clearances.
- Take ownership of complex and high-risk conflict queries and escalations, liaising confidently with Partners, lawyers, and senior stakeholders, and escalating to COLP where required.
- Support broader conflicts activity, including lateral hire processes, new joiner onboarding, and wider group initiatives.
- Drive enhancements to conflicts workflows, systems, and service delivery, while ensuring effective workload management, timely delivery, and high-quality output.
- Identify team training needs and support delivery, while collaborating across Risk & Compliance and the wider firm to improve efficiency, contribute to strategic initiatives, build strong networks, and provide shared out-of-hours support for urgent matters.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a Senior Conflicts Analyst (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of SRA conflicts and confidentiality rules
- Advanced Intapp experience
- Proven ability to handle complex conflicts issues independently
- Experience mentoring or supervising others
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
