A progressive London firm is seeking a Senior Associate (7+ PQE) to join its expanding Private Client / Private Wealth team. The practice advises a broad range of private individuals, families, entrepreneurs and business owners, delivering high‑quality work across the full spectrum of private client matters. The team is known for its technical strength, personable culture and commitment to outstanding client service.
The Role
As a senior solicitor within the Private Wealth team, you will handle a sophisticated and varied caseload while taking a leading role in client relationships and departmental development. Work will typically include:
- Advising on all aspects of wills, probate and estate administration.
- Handling complex estate planning, inheritance tax matters and wealth‑preservation strategies.
- Drafting trusts, advising trustees, and providing guidance on long‑term asset‑protection structures.
- Managing high‑value estates for HNW individuals, family‑owned businesses and multigenerational families.
- Acting as a senior contact for clients, delivering clear, commercially‑grounded advice.
- Managing your own caseload independently with a high degree of responsibility.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Contributing to the broader growth of the practice through networking, relationship‑building and involvement in team initiatives.
- Engaging proactively in the development of internal and external referral streams.
Expertise in deputyships and Court of Protection work is advantageous but not essential.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A minimum of 7 years’ PQE in private client or private wealth work.
- Strong technical expertise across wills, probate, trusts and estate administration.
- Experience working with HNW clients and complex private wealth structures.
- Excellent client‑handling skills and a personable, collaborative working style.
- Ability to manage matters autonomously and provide clear strategic advice.
- Demonstrated commitment to building long‑term client relationships.
- A proactive approach to business development and team contribution.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An interest in mentoring more junior lawyers within the team.
