In-House Corporate Real Estate Counsel | European Investment Manager | London

Title: Corporate Real Estate Lawyer (1-3 PQE) – In-House, European Real Estate Investment Manager

Location: London (hybrid)

About the business

I’m partnering exclusively with a specialist European real estate investment and asset manager, headquartered in London with offices across eight European markets on a fantastic in-house corporate real estate counsel opportunity.

With several billion euros of assets under management, it focuses on urban and last-mile logistics and is backed by two of the world’s leading institutional investors. The business is growing quickly, with a strong pipeline of acquisitions across the UK and continental Europe.

The role

This is a rare chance for a 1-3 PQE corporate real estate lawyer to move in-house into a lean, high-performing legal team.

Reporting to the Legal Director, you will support the business across the full investment lifecycle – acquisition, financing, ownership, governance, restructuring and disposal.

You will work closely with transactions, investment, asset management, finance, tax and compliance colleagues across Europe. Alongside a strong transactional focus, you will gain exposure to corporate, finance, regulatory and operational matters.

What you’ll do

· Draft, negotiate and review transactional and corporate documents, with appropriate supervision.

· Support multi-jurisdictional acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and financings.

· Run corporate governance processes and provide compliance and regulatory support to the investment platform.

· Manage external counsel and challenge their advice where appropriate.

· Translate legal risk into practical advice for non-legal stakeholders.

· Help build precedents, processes and knowledge management.

What you’ll bring

· Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent), c.1-3 years’ PQE.

· Corporate, corporate real estate or commercial real estate experience from a respected firm or in-house team.

· Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills.

· Commercial curiosity about the investment and asset management drivers behind deals.

· Adaptability, a hands-on approach and a willingness to take ownership.

· Desirable: experience advising real estate funds, investment managers, REITs or PE real estate clients; cross-border or real estate finance exposure.

Why apply

· Genuine principal-side deal flow across Europe from early in your career.

· Close mentoring from an experienced, long-serving legal leader.

· Collaborative, low-ego culture with very low staff turnover.

· Competitive salary, strong performance-related bonus and comprehensive benefits including private medical, wellness support and L&D sponsorship.

· Swift, streamlined interview process.
