A well-established London law firm is seeking a 3-6 PQE Associate to join its Financial Services Regulatory practice, focusing on non-contentious advisory work. The firm offers a genuinely collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, combining high-quality work with a supportive and inclusive culture.

The Team

The Financial Services team advises across the entire life cycle of regulated firms, from start-up and authorisation through growth, product development and, where required, regulatory scrutiny and investigations. The practice acts for a varied and high-profile client base across the financial services and fintech landscape, including banks, insurers, payment and e‑money firms, investment businesses, consumer credit providers, and technology-led platforms.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with senior regulatory partners on a broad range of advisory matters, including:

  • FCA and PRA regulatory authorisations and variations
  • Ongoing compliance and regulatory change
  • Product design and governance
  • Financial services regulation under FSMA and the RAO

This role offers exposure to sophisticated regulatory issues, high-profile clients, and direct partner access in a team that actively supports career development.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should:

  • Be 3-6 years’ PQE, gained in private practice or in-house
  • Have experience advising financial institutions or fintech businesses
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of the FCA/PRA Handbook, FSMA and the Regulated Activities Order
  • Be a regulatory specialist with enthusiasm for developing technical expertise and handling complex advisory work

The firm is committed to diversity, inclusion and long-term career progression, and encourages applications from a broad range of backgrounds.
