The firm is known for its strong client relationships, collaborative culture and commitment to developing its lawyers through high‑quality work and supportive supervision.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a developing private client lawyer to build technical expertise while gaining meaningful client exposure. The role will involve a broad and varied mix of private client work, including:

  • Managing a caseload of private client matters including wills, probate and estate administration.
  • Assisting on inheritance tax planning and lifetime estate‑planning matters.
  • Drafting wills, lasting powers of attorney, trust documentation and letters of wishes.
  • Advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries on estate administration issues.
  • Supporting senior lawyers on more complex trusts and succession planning matters.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, delivering a high standard of service.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the team to provide joined‑up advice.
  • Contributing to knowledge‑sharing and internal initiatives within the team.

There will be scope to develop responsibility and autonomy over time, in line with experience and confidence.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-5 years’ PQE in Private Client or Private Wealth.
  • Solid experience across core private client matters including wills and probate.
  • Exposure to trusts and tax planning work, with a desire to deepen technical knowledge.
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • A client‑focused approach with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage matters efficiently with appropriate supervision.
  • A collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
  • An interest in long‑term career development within private client law.

STEP qualification or progress towards it would be welcomed but is not essential.

Firm Culture & Environment

The firm offers:

  • A friendly, supportive and collegiate working culture.
  • High‑quality private client work with strong partner access.
  • A genuinely collaborative environment across teams and offices.
  • Clear pathways for development and progression.
  • A balanced approach to work, combining ambition with wellbeing.
  • An inclusive, people‑focused atmosphere where individuals are encouraged to grow.
