He works closely with US law firms on associate hiring, lateral growth and market‑led recruitment strategy, while supporting his team in delivering high‑quality, relationship‑driven outcomes across the wider private practice market. Although his current focus is firmly aligned with US platforms, Sam has built extensive experience across magic circle, silver circle, international, UK national and specialist boutique law firms over the course of his career.
Alongside his leadership responsibilities, Sam maintains a personal practice concentrated at the top end of the market. He specialises in advising high‑performing solicitors and associates on moves into, out of, and laterally within elite US law firms in London, as well as advising on selective senior associate and counsel‑level moves involving leading international and UK firms. Much of his work is confidential and advisory in nature, supporting long‑term career planning rather than purely transactional recruitment.
Sam began his career in legal recruitment in 2014 and has recruited across a wide range of practice areas and seniority levels, from legal support through to senior fee earners. This breadth of experience gives him a strong commercial understanding of how private practice law firms operate and how associates and solicitors can position themselves effectively at key stages of their careers.
