Insolvency Lawyer (Associate / Senior Associate – 5+ PQE)

We are partnering with a well‑established UK law firm seeking an experienced Insolvency Lawyer to join its busy Business Support & Insolvency team in London. The role sits within a collaborative cross‑office practice and offers strong exposure to high‑quality work and client contact.

You will work across a broad mix of corporate and personal insolvency matters, covering transactional, advisory and contentious work. Typical issues include administration appointments, security reviews, business and asset sales, winding‑up petitions, bankruptcy petitions, bankruptcy estates, transactions at undervalue, preferences, misfeasance and directors’ loan account matters. Experience with LPA Receivers or contentious insolvency work is advantageous.

You will also have the opportunity to supervise junior colleagues in London while working closely with team members across other UK offices. We are specifically looking for candidates with:

  • 5+ years’ PQE with strong insolvency experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Insolvency Act 1986, Insolvency Rules 2016 and Companies Act 2006
  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage junior team members
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive, client‑focused approach
  • Interest in business development and maintaining client relationship

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, well‑respected insolvency practice, working closely with senior leadership on complex matters while developing your technical and supervisory experience. A great fit for someone ambitious, commercially minded and keen to build their profile within the insolvency profession
