A leading US law firm with a dominant private equity practice and a highly regarded London corporate team. The firm is known for advising financial sponsors and strategic buyers on complex, high‑value transactions and for its strength in technology‑driven M&A across global markets.

The Role

This role sits within a specialist corporate practice focused on technology‑led M&A, where intellectual property, data and digital assets are central to the transaction. The team advises on sponsor‑driven acquisitions, carve‑outs, business separations and strategic investments involving software, digital platforms, life sciences, data‑centric businesses and other IP‑rich sectors.

The role is hands‑on and fast‑paced. Associates work in lean deal teams, lead workstreams, and are closely involved throughout the transaction lifecycle, regularly collaborating with specialist IP, data privacy and regulatory colleagues on sophisticated and cross‑border mandates.

What They’re Looking For

• England & Wales qualified associate with 4-7 years‘ PQE.
• Strong background in corporate M&A, ideally with exposure to technology, IP or data‑driven transactions.
• Experience advising private equity sponsors, portfolio companies or strategic acquirers.
• Comfortable taking ownership of transaction workstreams and mentoring more junior lawyers.
• Strong drafting skills, sound commercial judgement and confidence operating in demanding deal environments.
