About the Firm
We are currently recruiting for a Planning Partner to work for a leading national law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services across various sectors. This law firm has the fastest growing planning team in the UK and has big ambitions.
Position Overview:
As part of its continual growth plans, our client is now looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Planning Partner ideally with expertise in renewable energy projects to be based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in growing the firm’s planning offering in Birmingham and provide strategic advice and legal expertise to clients in the region and as part of the national offering.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex planning applications and appeals, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm, such as energy, environmental, and real estate, to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
Stay abreast of industry developments, trends, and best practices in renewable energy planning law.
Provide expert legal advice and guidance on planning matters related to renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydro, and biomass.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified solicitor with substantial experience in planning law, ideally with some renewable energy sector experience.
Proven track record of successfully advising clients on a wide range of planning matters and renewable energy projects from inception to completion.
Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, regulations, and policies.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Existing client following or the ability to generate new business opportunities is highly desirable.
