Compliance Manager – Law Firm
The role reports into the firm’s Head of Risk & Compliance.
Responsibilities and ideal candidate:
- Senior hire to provide oversight across AML, onboarding and conflicts.
- Effectively the “number two” to the Head of, someone who can liaise with fee-earners confidently
- Lead on AML and broader client due diligence – AML expertise is the priority
- Oversight of conflicts (with the ability to step in and complete checks when needed)
- Full understanding of the end‑to‑end onboarding process
- Manage and support workload currently handled by one other staff member
- Potential future responsibility to help train or supervise a junior hire as volumes continue to grow
Environment & Culture:
- Boutique, not corporate – family feel, smaller firm, different model to other mainstream law firms
- Suits someone autonomous, self-sufficient, and comfortable working independently
- 3 days per week (Tuesday – Thursday)
