A leading UK law firm is seeking a Senior Associate (6+ PQE) to join its Residential Property team in London. The team handles a wide range of residential transactions for private clients globally as well as a number of private banks. They pride themselves on responsiveness, technical strength and a personalised approach.
The Role
As a senior lawyer in the team, you will take ownership of complex residential property matters and play a key role in developing the practice. Responsibilities include:
- Managing a full caseload of residential property files, ensuring matters progress efficiently from instruction to completion.
- Delivering high‑quality, commercially attuned legal advice and maintaining exceptional standards of client service.
- Taking detailed instructions, acting as a trusted point of contact and guiding clients throughout the transaction.
- Scoping, pricing and preparing matters, working closely with partners to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Supporting the visibility of the practice through business development initiatives and sector‑focused projects.
- Building and developing your own network of clients, professional contacts and referrers.
- Identifying cross‑selling opportunities and strengthening internal relationships across the wider firm.
- Contributing to team development, mentoring junior colleagues and supporting knowledge‑sharing.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring:
- At least 6 years‘ PQE in residential property, with strong experience gained in a high‑quality London practice.
- A track record of managing residential transactions independently and efficiently.
- Excellent client‑handling and project‑management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Confidence working directly with private clients and private banks.
- A collaborative approach, contributing positively within a small team environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and a proactive, forward‑thinking mindset.
- Enthusiasm for business development and building your profile in the market.
