📣 Hiring: Legal Operations Manager | In‑House | Corporate Legal Department

An innovative, high‑growth company is seeking a Legal Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the day‑to‑day operations of its Legal Department. This role will partner closely with legal leadership to drive efficiency, enhance processes, implement technology solutions, and support strategic decision-making across the department.

This position reports directly to senior legal leadership.


✨ What You’ll Do

  • Develop, implement, and manage metrics and dashboards for the Legal Department.
  • Oversee the e‑billing and matter‑management platform, ensuring accurate tracking of legal spend.
  • Maintain and update outside counsel billing guidelines.
  • Lead implementation projects for key legal technologies (CLM, ELM, document management, AI tools).
  • Serve as the primary liaison to Finance for monthly accruals, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Support outside counsel management, including selection, evaluation, fee negotiations, and compliance with billing policies.
  • Design and execute RFP processes for outside counsel and other legal vendors.
  • Handle additional projects and operational initiatives as needed.

🎯 Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of legal operations experience, ideally in an in‑house corporate environment.
  • At least 5 years managing core functions such as e‑billing, legal tech implementation, or legal process improvement.
  • Strong experience with CLM, matter management, e‑billing systems, and (ideally) document management tools.
  • Demonstrated interest in process improvement, technology adoption, and operational strategy.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.

✔️ Required Skills

  • Knowledge of legal department operations, policies, and workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with legal software (CLM/ELM platforms, e‑billing, document management).
  • Ability to identify challenges and implement practical, scalable solutions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization.
  • Strong technology fluency (MS Office, PowerPoint, AI tools, legal ops systems).
