Broad Commercial/Corporate Legal Counsel – 2+
Rare opportunity for a lawyer from a broader skill set to join a dominant specialist leader in the insurance space in a broad commercial/corporate role.
This is an incredibly broad role covering commercial contracts, corporate, banking, employment and other matters. Whilst experience in any of the above areas would be ideal, they do not require it to be at an extensive level. More important is a can-do attitude, drive, strong communication skills, and a pragmatic approach.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the review and negotiation of NDAs and commercial contracts including SaaS, licensing, data protection and IP agreements
- Provide and/or assist in providing, legal advice to the business on a range of topics which may include UK Listing Rule requirements, corporate law matters, regulatory requirements, employment an insurance/reinsurance matters
- Assist the team in preparing legal and governance papers as required by the various operational Boards.
Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor from private practice or in-house with at least two years‘ PQE
- Ideally UK qualified but open overseas qualified lawyers with the relevant experience
- Commercially astute, solutions driven, self-starter and a team player.
