Overview

A leading international law firm with a strong focus on private capital, international clients, and complex cross‑border matters is seeking a talented Corporate Tax Associate (2+ PQE) to join its well‑established Tax team. The role offers exposure to sophisticated advisory and transactional tax work, working closely with corporate, real estate, funds, and private wealth teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on the tax aspects of corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, group reorganisations, and private equity matters.
  • Providing standalone tax advice to UK and international clients, including high‑net‑worth individuals, family offices, and privately owned businesses.
  • Supporting the structuring and establishment of investment funds, partnerships, and other tax‑efficient vehicles.
  • Working with real estate and development teams on tax considerations relating to property acquisitions, disposals, and development projects.
  • Drafting and negotiating tax clauses in transaction documents.
  • Liaising with HMRC and advising on risk management, compliance obligations, and tax governance.
  • Collaborating closely with partners and senior colleagues while developing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.

About You

  • Qualified solicitor with 2+ years of post‑qualification experience in corporate tax at a reputable law firm.
  • Strong technical grounding in UK corporate tax, with exposure to transactional matters.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly and effectively.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working across practice groups.
  • Commercially aware, proactive, and committed to delivering excellent client service.
