Payroll Administrator – Global Financial Services Firm | Hong Kong
A leading international financial services firm is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware Payroll Administrator to take ownership of its Hong Kong payroll operations. This is a high-visibility role, working closely with HR, Finance, and senior leadership across the region, offering both autonomy and impact within a fast-paced, professional environment.
What would you be doing:
· Take full responsibility for end-to-end payroll operations for the Hong Kong office
· Execute accurate and timely payroll cycles, including salary adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and final payments
· Oversee statutory obligations such as MPF contributions, tax filings, and year-end reporting requirements, ensuring adherence to Hong Kong employment legislation and regulatory requirements
· Partner with HR and Finance teams to gather and validate payroll data, ensuring integrity and compliance
· Act as the primary contact for payroll-related queries, providing clear guidance to internal stakeholders including senior management
· Coordinate with regional and global payroll teams to ensure alignment and consistency
· Prepare regular payroll-related reporting, including financial postings, headcount analysis, and reconciliation reports
· Liaise with relevant government authorities for submissions and regulatory matters
· Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance payroll efficiency through system or workflow improvements
What you would have:
· Minimum 2-6 years of payroll experience, ideally within financial or professional services firm
· Degree holder in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
· Solid knowledge of Hong Kong payroll practices, tax requirements, and statutory frameworks
· Familiarity with payroll systems such as Oracle HCM, BIPO, or similar platforms
· High level of accuracy, strong analytical mindset, and ability to meet tight deadlines
· Self-sufficient and comfortable managing responsibilities with minimal supervision
· Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, including fluent Cantonese
