Labor and Employment Attorney
A boutique law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join its legal team on a contract or contract-to-hire basis. This is a fully onsite opportunity in Philadelphia for an attorney who can step in quickly and handle a range of employment-related matters with limited oversight.
Responsibilities
- Advise on a broad range of employment and workplace matters
- Review and draft employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and related documentation
- Counsel on employee relations, workplace investigations, discipline, termination, and compliance matters
- Provide guidance regarding federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Assist with employment-related disputes, claims, and pre-litigation matters
- Partner with internal stakeholders on day-to-day employment issues and risk management
- Support additional legal matters as needed
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active and in-good-standing bar admission in Pennsylvania
- Prior experience handling employment law matters
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written, analytical, and communication skills
- Comfortable working fully onsite in Philadelphia
