The impactful GC: a workshop on building confidence, networks and resilience

Event date/time: Mi, 6 Mai 2026 8:30 am - 10:30 am

How are senior in‑house lawyers building influence, navigating workplace pressures and sustaining confidence in increasingly complex environments?

We are delighted to host a practical, interactive workshop designed specifically for general counsel and senior legal leaders looking to strengthen their impact, networks and resilience.

The session will explore how senior leaders can build meaningful influence, identify the right mentors and expand networks in purposeful, sustainable ways, while also examining the confidence challenges often experienced at senior levels – including imposter syndrome, good‑student dynamics and queen‑bee behaviours – alongside practical techniques for restoring energy, creativity and fulfilment in demanding environments.

This breakfast session will focus on the realities women face at senior levels, and the tools that support grounded, confident leadership.

The workshop will be led by Natalie Abou‑Alwan, General Counsel and Author, and hosted by Taylor Root legal recruitment experts Penny Parker-Cook and Fiyin Fayeye.

WHAT YOU WILL GET OUT OF OUR SESSIOn:

  • Practical tools you can apply immediately
  • Space for honest discussion under Chatham House rules
  • Short reflective exercises designed to create tangible personal takeaways
  • Connection with other senior female legal leaders across sectors

If you would like to attend, please register your interest below and we will be in touch to confirm your place. Attendance is limited to 20–25 participants to ensure an engaged, high‑value discussion.
