Senior Legal Counsel – Fintech Product, Regulatory, Commercial
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid, 3-4 days per week)
About the Opportunity
A fast-growing fintech company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support its U.S. business. This is a broad, high-impact role supporting financial products, regulatory matters, product development, and commercial transactions within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
The position offers significant exposure to senior leadership, close partnership with business and product teams, and the opportunity to help shape legal strategy in a key growth market.
Responsibilities
- Advise on U.S. regulatory and financial products matters
- Support product launches and strategic business initiatives
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and partnership agreements
- Provide practical legal guidance to business, product, and operational teams
- Manage regulatory inquiries and outside counsel relationships
- Develop scalable legal processes, templates, and training materials
- Partner with stakeholders across the U.S. and internationally
Experience
- JD and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Experience supporting fintech, lending, payments, or other regulated financial products
- Strong regulatory advisory and commercial contracting experience
- Experience partnering with product and business teams
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
- Prior in-house experience preferred
- Experience in a high-growth or scaling business is a plus
