VP Legal
Our client is a trusted market leader within the travel services sector.
Supporting the Chief Legal Officer. They are seeking a talented and commercially minded Vice President of Legal to join their high performing team. In this pivotal and wide-ranging executive role, you will provide complex legal expertise with people leadership and strategic business partnering, directly managing a team and supporting the Chief Legal Officer in shaping and delivering the legal strategy. The VP Legal is pivotal in overseeing legal governance, risk management, and supporting business transformation across international regions, ensuring compliance with their legal, governance and regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
About the Role:
- Proactively support the business’ goals through timely legal, governance and risk management services.
- Act as a strategic partner and deputy to the Chief Legal Officer, helping to implement the vision, structure, and goals of the global Legal Team.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnership with all areas of the business, to develop a best-in-class function.
- Lead and implement the group’s legal strategy and provide legal oversight across all operational and strategic initiatives across jurisdictions.
- Support the transformation of the business by ensuring legal frameworks, governance, and risk management align with evolving global operations.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to influence both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic direction.
Who You Are:
- A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in both private practice and in-house roles.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including direct management and support of executive-level decision-making.
- A natural leader with excellent judgement, strategic vision and a results-oriented approach.
- Strong commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to partner effectively with business leaders to enable growth and transformation.
- Proven experience of translating global and regional legal strategy into local execution, ensuring operational effectiveness and business alignment.
- Experience gained within the services or travel logistics industry or similar environment.
- Strategic thinking with a keen eye for future trends.
- A proactive, commercially focused mindset and ability to translate legal complexity into clear pragmatic guidance with a “get things done” attitude
