This is a key role in the business, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop and utilise broad legal skills as part of a collegiate and supportive legal function.
Acting as the principal advisor to the business’ operations in the EU (principally UK) and Asia, key responsibilities include:
· Contract review, negotiation and management covering a wide range of agreements, including customer contracts; supplier contracts; consultancy agreements; and distribution agreements.
· M&A projects, covering the full lifecycle of due diligence, deal execution and business integration.
· Ensuring compliance with key regulatory matters.
· Litigation management.
· Facilitating the application of good corporate governance across the EU and Asian operations.
· Involvement in managing intellectual property issues.
· Supporting the Company Secretarial function.
You will also act as a “sounding board” and trusted business partner to the business teams on a range of legal, regulatory, compliance and wider business issues.
About you
The successful candidate will be an experienced and proactive English qualified lawyer with at least 4 years PQE. You will have a strong track record of acting as legal advisor for a multinational company, as well as solid experience in commercial contracting and M&A.
You will be strong communicator and decision-maker, with the ability to interact directly with a broad range of stakeholders.
This is a brilliant opportunity to help define and shape the growth strategy of the business for the future.
