Corporate Senior Associate / Special Counsel

The Firm

This is a leading national law firm with one of the largest corporate teams in Melbourne. They often on the other side to top tier firms on the corporate deals they work on. The matters are primarily mid market merger and acquisition deals. Clients are typically the founders of companies. This team has never been busier.

The Role

While you will have exposure to all the corporate partners, you will be working primarily as the right hand person to one particular partner. This partner loves to give his staff autonomy to run matters. You will assist in getting the work, liaising with clients and transacting. The partner is looking for a really good general corporate lawyer who wants to really take their career to the next level.

The Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years’ experience working in an M&A or Corporate Advisory practice;
• Ambition to work on challenging matters at the top of the market;
• Excellent drafting, analytical and advice writing skills;
• The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment; and
• A desire to learn develop and progress quickly.
