Our client, an elite US City law firm is seeking to recruit a talented Competition Associate (2-4 PQE) into its London-based international competition team. This is a rare opportunity to join a globally recognised practice advising on complex, high-value transactional antitrust matters across multiple jurisdictions.
You will handle merger control (UK and EU), foreign investment reviews, and multi-jurisdictional filing processes, working closely with corporate partners on M&A transactions and restructurings.
This role offers early responsibility, direct client exposure, and the chance to work on cutting-edge matters across sectors including financial services, private equity, energy, and technology. You’ll be part of a collaborative team with a strong international footprint and a reputation for excellence in cross-border antitrust and regulatory work.
Candidate Profile
- England & Wales qualified solicitor with 2-4 years’ PQE gained at a leading US firm, Magic Circle, or Silver Circle law firm.
- Experience in transactional antitrust, merger control, and foreign investment matters
- Strong academic background, with additional post-graduate competition/antitrust studies preferred
- Confident working directly with corporate partners and sophisticated clients
- Exposure to financial institutions, PE/funds, tech/digital, or energy sectors desirable
- Foreign language skills and EU FSR experience advantageous but not essential
