Our client, a heavyweight international City law firm is seeking a talented Senior Associate to join its Litigation & Investigations team in London on a 12-month fixed term contract, covering parental leave.
About the Team
This top-tier team is recognised for its expertise across a broad spectrum of contentious matters, including:
- Complex commercial and financial disputes
- Shareholder and joint venture litigation
- Civil fraud and competition claims
- Derivatives and structured finance disputes
- ESG, data, cyber-security, and fintech-related litigation
- Class actions, insurance disputes, and judicial reviews
The team works closely with transactional and advisory colleagues, offering clients a seamless and strategic approach to litigation and risk management.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will act for corporates, financial institutions, and individuals involved in high-value and complex disputes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on commercial litigation matters
- Managing cases and litigation strategy
- Supervising junior lawyers and coordinating with counsel and experts
- Preparing clients for hearings and trials
- Supporting transactional teams with litigation input
- Contributing to business development and knowledge sharing
Candidate Profile
- 6+ years PQE in commercial litigation gained at a Top 20 or US/international City law firm
- Ideally England & Wales qualified
- Strong technical and strategic litigation skills
- Excellent client relationship and communication abilities
- Proven organisational and project management capabilities
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially minded approach
- Interest in business development and thought leadership
