A fast-growing FinTech firm is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its high-performing legal team on a 24-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The Role:

You’ll be a key legal advisor, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure robust, commercially sound agreements and legal compliance. The role suits a confident, proactive lawyer with a background in commercial, IT, or technology law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate complex SaaS contracts with global financial institutions
  • Lead negotiations with clients and suppliers
  • Advise on existing agreements and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business goals
  • Manage external counsel to ensure cost-effective legal support
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments

Ideally you will have:

  • Strong PQE in commercial, IT, or technology law
  • In-house experience in FinTech, SaaS, or tech-led businesses
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to assess legal risk
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple workstreams
  • Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
