Senior Risk Lawyer – Professional Indemnity
A law firm is seeking a senior professional to join its Governance & Risk team. This hybrid role involves working across all offices to support firmwide compliance, claims management and quality assurance initiatives. The position is suited to a lawyer transitioning into compliance or a seasoned compliance professional with experience in claims handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on complex claims under the firm’s small claims authority
- Support the renewal of professional indemnity insurance
- Handle client and third-party complaints
- Contribute to firmwide risk projects and drive improvements.
- Develop and deliver training on governance and risk topics
Required Experience
- Legal background in litigation or property law, or compliance experience in a law firm
- Strong understanding of the SRA Handbook and Code of Conduct
- Experience managing complex compliance issues and claims handling
- Familiarity with professional indemnity insurance processes
