Corporate IP/Technology Associate – London
Our client, an elite US City law firm is seeking a talented Corporate IP/Technology Transactions Associate to join the firm’s growing London-based Technology Transactions team. Sitting within the broader Corporate practice, this team is a strategic focus for the firm and plays a critical role in advising clients at the intersection of M&A, private equity, venture capital, and technology.
You will work closely with high-profile partners and a collegiate team of experts, advising on a wide range of matters including:
- Corporate support on M&A, private equity, and venture/growth investments
- Commercial contracts involving IP, IT, and data privacy
- Technology transactions including licensing, SaaS, and platform agreements
- IP/IT advisory work, including due diligence and risk assessment
- Data protection and privacy compliance and strategy
- Supporting clients across technology-driven sectors, from fintech and healthtech to AI and digital infrastructure
The successful individual:
- ideally 3-4 years’ post-qualification experience at a leading City or international law firm
- Strong grounding in corporate support and commercial/IP/IT matters
- Experience advising on standalone commercial contracts and technology transactions (or a desire to build this skill set)
- A commercial mindset, excellent drafting skills, and a collaborative approach
- A genuine interest in technology and innovation
