Taylor Root Asia 2024/25 In-house Salary Guide Launch

September 2, 2024

Taylor Root Singapore hosted our 2024/25 In-house Salary Guide launch on 29 August 2024 at VUE, OUE Bayfront.

The event showcased the launch of our 2024/25 In-house Salary Guide, which provides valuable insights into the latest trends in compensation, benefits and talent acquisition strategies for Legal, Risk and Compliance professionals across Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Against the panoramic views of Marina Bay, the evening combined insightful presentations with an informal networking session as our guests connected over drinks and canapes.

Cassandra Lim and Celine Tay shared data-driven perspectives on recruitment trends, emerging roles and the evolving labour market in Singapore and the wider region.

Recruitment trends in Southeast Asia: Relocating and creating roles outside of Singapore across Southeast Asia – especially Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, and India – as companies establish middle or back-office functions in lower-cost locations.

The future of recruitment – Digital transformation and ESG: Firstly, the rising digitization of business activities is creating demand for new roles and skill sets in the areas of Cybersecurity and AI. Secondly, stricter sustainability regulations mean companies seek ESG talent to drive their sustainability initiatives. Emerging roles and skillsets in demand include sustainable finance and investment, ESG data, and reporting.

Recruitment strategies in a situation of talent scarcity: There is now an increasing need for hiring managers to be agile in adopting talent acquisition and retention strategies. Solutions include hiring candidates who can grow into the roles or upskilling the existing team.

Nicolas Brocklebank, Director of IHL Digitisation & Transformation from Global Legal Solutions (GLS) Group shared insights and solutions for in-house legal, risk, and compliance teams to improve efficiency.

Our guests forged valuable connections with peers in the industry, engaging in meaning discussions where they exchanged ideas on recruitment challenges and opportunities.
