Senior Legal Counsel – Aviation Finance

Our client, a leading global commercial airline is expanding its legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and talented asset finance lawyer to join a dynamic and highly respected in-house legal team.

They are seeking a talented Senior legal counsel to join their dynamic team. In this broad role, you will provide comprehensive legal support as a pivotal part of their legal team, across a range of matters related to aircraft and engine financing, leasing, acquisition, redelivery and disposals.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for delivering strategic legal advice on complex asset finance, fleet, corporate, and banking matters, supporting the company’s commercial and operational objectives. Managing high-value legal aircraft transactions and corporate deals, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and optimal outcomes. As well as engaging with senior cross-functional stakeholders and members of the leadership team to resolve issues pragmatically and influence decision-making at senior/executive levels

Who You Are:

· A legal professional with 6+ years‘ experience in aircraft leasing/ financing, or a related field, preferably gained in a leading international law firm or in-house within aviation, asset finance or banking.

· Experience of drafting and negotiating complex commercial/finance agreements. Managing complex transactions and providing strategic legal advice in the aviation sector.

· Strong organisational and management skills with a proven ability to manage complex issues and to mitigate legal risks.

· Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical and influencing skills.

· Strategic thinker with a proactive „get things done“ attitude.
