Senior Associate – Professional Indemnity
About the Role
An opportunity to join a thriving national General Insurance practice, working alongside a highly regarded team in Melbourne. This role focuses on defending complex claims against professionals across a range of industries, including:
- Construction, financial services, and legal sectors
- Health and medical sector (medical malpractice)
- Matters involving large loss and high-stakes litigation
You’ll have carriage of your own files with support from industry-leading partners, and be involved in:
- Strategy and client interaction
- Drafting court documents and client advices
- Preparing briefs and evidence
- Conferencing with witnesses and experts
- Attending court and managing proceedings
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone with:
- At least five years‘ post-admission experience in general insurance law
- Strong background in professional indemnity matters
- Proficiency in drafting coverage advices
- Experience running matters through court proceedings
- A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in defendant insurance
- Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
