Leasing Lawyer – 2+ PQE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Leasing Lawyer to join a well-regarded national law firm’s Melbourne Property team. Working closely with a highly respected property team, you’ll be part of a collaborative and high-performing team advising a diverse client base across a broad range of leasing matters.
This role is ideal for a property lawyer with at least 2 years‘ post-admission experience who is looking to deepen their expertise in leasing and work on high-quality matters in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of leasing documentation, including retail, commercial, and industrial leases
- Advise landlords, tenants, and property managers on leasing strategy, compliance, and disputes
- Assist with property transactions involving lease due diligence and leaseback arrangements
- Liaise with clients, agents, and stakeholders to deliver commercially sound legal solutions
- Support the broader property team on complex matters and contribute to business development initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with:
- 2+ years‘ post-admission experience in property law, with a focus or strong interest in leasing
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- A commercial mindset and ability to provide practical, client-focused advice
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach to legal practice
