Fractional Sole Counsel – Part-time – 3-6 months
The Company
Join a fast-paced, PE-backed SaaS company as Interim Sole Counsel (Part-time, Remote). They’re a UK market leader with growing US operations.
The Role
Starting mid-November, this 3-day-a-week interim role (3-6 months) involves advising senior leadership on legal risk, governance, and strategy. You’ll also act as DPO, manage external counsel, and oversee the legal budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the legal function and manage external counsel and budget
- Handle commercial contracts, SaaS licensing, data privacy, and IP
- Support M&A, fundraising, and international expansion
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Drive legal operations and automation
- Advise on employment matters and legal disputes
About You
A UK-qualified solicitor (8-12+ PQE) with in-house SaaS and PE experience. Commercially savvy, strategic, and hands-on, with a track record of operating independently in high-growth environments.
Requirements
- Ideally a UK qualified lawyer with 8-12+ years PQE across a combination of law firm and in-house.
- Strong background in SaaS, data privacy, compliance, and contracts
- Experience in PE-backed businesses and supporting sales teams
- Comfortable with ambiguity and building legal infrastructure from scratch
