📢 Employment Solicitor – Maternity Cover (Top-Tier International Law Firm)

Our client, a highly regarded international City law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its London-based team on a maternity cover contract up to 6-months. This is a rare opportunity to step into a well-established practice and work closely with a senior partner on a diverse and high-quality caseload.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on a wide range of employment law matters, including drafting contracts, reviewing policies, and managing grievances and performance issues.
- Handling both contentious and non-contentious work, such as:
- TUPE and tribunal litigation
- Settlement agreements
- Unfair dismissal and breach of contract claims
- UK and international restructuring and redundancies
- Supporting corporate transactions and advising on non-competes, DSARs, and related matters.
- Liaising directly with clients, including those in the financial services sector (e.g. asset managers, LLPs).
- The work is split 60-70% advisory, 20% litigation, and c. 10% corporate support.
✅ Ideal Candidate:
- 4+ years PQE with a strong grounding in employment law across advisory, litigation, and corporate support.
- Confident, proactive, and able to manage matters independently.
- Broad experience, with a willingness to handle varied issues including data privacy.
- Familiarity with financial services clients is a distinct advantage, but is not essential.
- Immediately available or at very short notice.
Interviews will be conducted next week, with first and second rounds held back-to-back on the same day.
