Location: Hybrid – Atlanta, GA (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
A global tech company and provider of talent solutions is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its collaborative legal team. With decades of experience supporting organizations in hiring, development, and workforce strategy, the company delivers innovative tools and services to a diverse client base across industries and regions.
This hybrid role is based in Atlanta, GA, and reports directly to the General Counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead legal advisor for commercial operations across the Americas, delivering pragmatic and business-focused legal support.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS contracts, MSAs, RFPs, and terms and conditions.
- Advise on data protection and privacy matters, including data processing agreements and compliance initiatives.
- Provide legal guidance on assessment and selection practices under U.S. state and federal law.
- Support litigation matters, including IP disputes and credit/collection issues.
- Contribute to legal training and mentoring of junior team members.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
Experience:
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership.
- Minimum of 5 years‘ post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in-house.
- Strong background in commercial and contract law, with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations and IP law in a commercial context.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, international organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
