How can General Counsel navigate their role in managing cybersecurity risks and responding to data breaches?
We were delighted to host another roundtable, aimed at legal leaders in the technology sector. The session explored how General Counsel can effectively prepare for cybersecurity threats, protect their organisations and respond during an incident. We also examined the evolving role of legal teams in cyber incident response (IR) and looked at how to bridge gaps between the legal and the technical side of the business.
The discussion was be led by Emma Jones, Global Manager, Cyber Incident Response Readiness, CrowdStrike, and James Elliot, General Counsel EMEA, CrowdStrike, and hosted by the Taylor Root in-house legal recruitment experts Georgia Morgan-Wynne and Albert Toms.

Emma is a multi-disciplinary leader who is passionate about cyber incident preparedness. She currently manages CrowdStrike’s global Retainer Management Program and remains responsible for engaging with organisations of all sizes and verticals to improve their response capabilities. As a former National Crime Agency officer, Emma has fulfilled several cybersecurity roles, including that of Law Enforcement Coordinator at NCSC-UK.
James Elliot
