This role will provide essential support to the London‑based commercial legal team during a period of heightened workload and while the business prepares to launch a permanent hiring process.
The Role
Reporting into a Senior Commercial Counsel, you will join a collaborative and fast‑paced legal team operating at the heart of a globally recognised consumer brand. The function has grown significantly over the past three years, and this interim hire will help ensure the team remains ahead of increasing commercial activity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including sales, marketing, partnerships and supplier contracts.
- Supporting major commercial and retail partnerships across established and emerging markets.
- Providing pragmatic, solutions‑led advice to stakeholders across sales, marketing, operations and product teams.
- Helping refine and streamline legal processes as the function continues to scale.
- Operating confidently within a fast‑moving and at times ambiguous environment.
This is a hands‑on, business‑facing role suited to someone adaptable, pragmatic and comfortable working autonomously when needed.
Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:
- 6+ PQE with strong commercial or broad corporate/commercial experience.
- Background in consumer, retail, FMCG, luxury, lifestyle or other fast‑paced product‑driven sectors (strong advantage).
- Confidence managing a varied commercial workload with limited supervision.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively across the business.
- A practical, commercially minded approach and the ability to deliver at pace.
- Availability to start within four weeks (one‑month notice acceptable).
