US Legal Counsel
A fast-growing SaaS company is seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to support post-acquisition integration and strategic initiatives across its U.S. operations. This role is ideal for a commercially minded legal professional with deep experience in SaaS transactions, healthcare compliance (HIPAA), and corporate governance.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to guide commercial deals, mitigate risk, and ensure regulatory alignment in a dynamic, tech-driven environment.
This will be the first legal hire in the US for the company, so is ideal for someone who is comfortable building processes and guidelines, and handling a multitude of legal issues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support legal aspects of commercial transactions and post-acquisition integration.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of agreements (customer, vendor, partner, reseller).
- Advise on U.S. regulatory matters including HIPAA, data privacy, and AI-related compliance.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Marketing teams.
- Contribute to legal operations, governance, and scalable process improvements.
Experience:
- J.D. and active bar membership in a U.S. jurisdiction.
- 6-10 years of legal experience in SaaS, healthcare, or tech environments.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, data protection, and SaaS business models.
- Experience with M&A integrations and strategic legal projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
