Location: NYC, hybrid preferred, open to remote on the East Coast

Occasional travel to Europe for offsites.

A fast growing legal tech company is seeking a Patent Agent to support its expansion in the United States. This is an exciting opportunity to join an international AI driven business that is transforming how patent professionals draft applications. The team has grown quickly across the US and Europe, and this role offers high impact, autonomy, and the chance to shape a next generation product used by IP practitioners.

As a key member of the product organization, you will serve as the voice of patent practice. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Customer teams to ensure the drafting workflows, templates, and AI generated outputs meet professional standards. This is a hands on role ideal for someone who enjoys blending technical expertise with product development in a collaborative, fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Define and review patent drafting workflows with product and engineering

* Assess AI generated outputs and recommend improvements

* Translate drafting best practices into product requirements

* Develop quality frameworks, templates, and evaluation criteria

* Join customer discussions and extract actionable insights

* Support demos, product content, and go to market materials

Candidate Profile

* Qualified Patent Agent with strong drafting experience

* 5 to 10 years of experience, ideally including time at a law firm

* Comfortable working in a fast moving product environment

* Clear communicator with both legal and non legal teams

* Pragmatic, focused, and able to take ownership

* Interest in AI, legal tech, or workflow tools is a plus

Compensation

Base salary of $140K to $200K
