Due to continued growth, a top law firm is hiring for an In-house Claims Lawyer to report into the Head of Professional Indemnity. This team is part of the Office of General Counsel and would suit someone from a professional indemnity or contentious fee-earning background who is looking to develop their career in a well-established and collegiate team.

The successful applicant will handle a wide range of queries and contribute to projects within the immediate team and the wider OGC.

You should be 2-4 PQE and the role can be based out of their London/Leeds/Manchester/Glasgow office.

Responsibilities:

  • When issues arise, ask questions to establish what has happened, identify legal, reputational, and commercial issues, and advise on next steps.
  • Draft pre-Action correspondence
  • Liaise with the Head of PI, the Claims & Complaints Partner, other internal stakeholders and external brokers and advisers as needed.
  • Handling claims against solicitors and the regulation of solicitors.

Salary: 70-95k
