We are delighted to be partnered with a leading national law firm who are recruiting their first General Counsel.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experience lawyer to join a newly created role overseeing legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations. Responsibilities include providing legal guidance to leadership, managing Risk & Compliance, and serving as Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).

The ideal candidate should be a qualified lawyer with a strong foundation across various legal areas, including corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance. They should possess financial literacy and the ability to align legal strategies with business objectives.

Essential competencies include effective negotiation skills, strategic thinking, strong communication, leadership abilities, and integrity. Experience in managing teams and navigating complex legal issues is crucial.
