Competition Solicitor – International Law Firm – London (2m FTC)
Taylor Root have been instructed on an urgent new role with our client, a leading international law firm who are looking to hire an experienced Competition Solicitor to join them on an initial 2 month FTC.
The Firm
Our client, headquartered in London, with offices worldwide in Asia, Europe and the Middle East have a diverse mix of expertise and knowledge. They are recognised leaders in several different practice areas including litigation, mid-tier corporate work and shipping.
The Team
The firm’s competition team assist clients in the financial services, transport, insurance, retail and healthcare sectors, navigate through the most complex competition issues, and have expertise across the full spectrum of advisory competition law, including:
- Merger control and foreign direct investment rules (especially the National Security and Investment Act);
- Cartel and abuse of dominance investigations;
- Dawn raids and competition law compliance;
- Market studies and investigations; and
- State aid and subsidy control, including the EU Foreign Subsidy Regulation (ideally but not a requirement)
The ideal Candidate
You will have at least 4 years PQE and be England & Wales qualified. You experience will include advisory competition work or a mixture of advisory and contentious. Ideally you will have gained this experience from another top city law firm in London. This role is available on a PAYE basis or Consultant. The firm are open to those who wish to work part time (minimum of 3 days per week).
