Our client, a Top 20 City law firm, is seeking a highly experienced Commercial IT Solicitor to join its leading Commercial & Technology practice on a 12‑month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high‑value commercial, outsourcing and technology matters within a dynamic, collaborative and high‑performing team.
The Role:
You will advise on a broad range of commercial contracts and technology‑driven projects across a wide variety of sectors, including:
- Technology and telecoms
- Automotive and aerospace
- Retail, food & beverage and FMCG
- Real estate and housing
- Healthcare and life sciences
- Financial services and insurance
- Infrastructure and government/public sector
The workload is fast‑paced, varied and intellectually stimulating, offering significant exposure to major national and international clients. The team maintains its own portfolio of clients and high‑profile matters, giving you the opportunity to take on responsibility and work directly with senior stakeholders. Examples of recent work within the team include major outsourcing programmes, ERP implementations, supply chain and logistics arrangements, national FM outsourcing projects, and complex public sector procurements.
About You:
You will be a qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent) with ideally 6+ years’ PQE and demonstrable experience in:
- Drafting, negotiating and advising on complex commercial and technology contracts
- Leading on both day‑to‑day BAU matters and large strategic projects
- Managing a busy caseload with minimal supervision
- Supervising and supporting junior lawyers
- Providing commercial, pragmatic and client‑focused advice
