Bankruptcy Associate
Position Overview We are seeking a talented and motivated Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for an attorney with experience in bankruptcy law who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to grow their practice with a respected firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in consumer and commercial bankruptcy matters, primarily under Chapters 7, 11, and 13
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda with precision and clarity
- Attend hearings, creditor meetings, and court proceedings across Pennsylvania
- Work directly with clients to develop case strategy and ensure legal compliance
- Conduct legal research and stay current with bankruptcy laws and relevant regulatory updates
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to manage case workload effectively
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (required)
- Admission to the Ohio Bar is strongly preferred but not mandatory
- Minimum 3-7 years of bankruptcy law experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
