Legal Team Manager – Corporate/Commercial

Consultancy seeking Legal Team Manager to lead a small, high-performing legal team in a forward-thinking and collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate and Commercial, you’ll oversee a team of up to three legal professionals (lawyer, trainee, and paralegal), ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services across a diverse client base. You’ll play a key role in shaping legal strategy, driving operational improvements, and supporting clients in sectors such as software, technology, gaming, and fintech. An opportunity to work on complex, high-impact matters while developing deep client relationships and contributing beyond traditional legal boundaries.

In addition to supporting a small team, the role will involve providing strategic legal advice on commercial and corporate matters, drafting and reviewing a range of legal documents including contracts, investment agreements, and regulatory filings, working with external counsel on cross-jurisdictional matters

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years PQE in commercial/corporate law with proven ability advising across a range of agreements, providing strategic support to a business. Familiarity with company secretarial duties and regulatory compliance is an advantage as is experience in tech or regulated sectors (e.g. gaming, fintech, gambling). In-house legal experience is essential. Although formal line management experience is not a prerequisite, some demonstrable practical experience of mentoring or managing is preferred.

The role will require flexibility, commercialism and a pragmatic approach to varied legal projects. It is important that you are a confident business partner who is able to lead and communicate effectively.
